QB Luke McCown proved to be a much more viable option this weekend completing 29 of 37 passes for 313 yards and 2 touchdowns. The Bucs rally to win late 27 to 23 with a 4 yard touchdown pass to TE Jerramy Stevens with seconds remaining in the game. The Bucs now take a 3 game commanding lead in the NFC South Division with only 4 games remaining. The Bucs next 4 opponents all have losing records, which should give the Bucs an edge as they finish the regular season. The Bucs travel to Houston next week to take on the Texans. Later in the week, we should know if QB Jeff Garcia will be ready to go.......
Saints Game Stats....Saints Game Highlights

The Buccaneer defense took the ball away 6 times to hold on to a 19 to 13 win last Saturday to gain a 2 game lead in the NFC South Division. QB Jeff Garcia went down early in the first quarter and the Bucs offense was unproductive the rest of the game without him. It's doubtful he will play next weekend against the Saints. The Bucs will rely heavily on the defense once again as they try to add to the lead they have in the NFC South Division. Just win baby! ........
Redskins Game Stats....Redskins Game Highlights

With a 31 to 7 victory over the Falcons last Sunday, the Bucs take a two game lead in the NFC South Division. The Falcons' decision to start Byron Leftwich at quarterback instead of Joey Harrington who had won his last two games proved to be costly and gave the Falcons little chance to win the game. The Bucs' defense was the story of this game, causing 4 turnovers with Ronde Barber returning a fumble 44 yards for a touchdown. Barber was also responsible for making a crucial hit in the third quarter to stop RB Jerious Norwood for no gain on a fourth and one on the Bucs' 45. The Bucs will be home this weekend to take on the Washington Redskins. This will be the fourth time these 2 teams have played in the last 4 years. This is a rivalry in the making with both teams sharing no love lost for the other. This game will have the feeling of a divisional game........
Falcons Game Stats....Falcons Game Highlights

The Buccaneers are back on top of the NFC South Division with a 17 to 10 win over the Arizona Cardinals. A few missed opportunities made the game look closer than it was. The Bucs dominated both sides of the ball, having the ball on offense for more that 43 minutes of the game. Running Back Earnest Graham was the workhorse once again, rushing for 124 yards and 1 touchdown on the day. The Bucs get a much needed rest as they have a bye next week. The Bucs will use that week to get healthy and prepare for the Atlanta Falcons.......
Cardinals Game Stats....Cardinals Game Highlights

The Buccaneers lose their first game at home this year to the Jacksonville Jaguars 24 to 23. In a game that could have gone either way, the 2 interceptions thrown by Jeff Garcia, one that ended up as a touchdown was too much for the Bucs to overcome. RB Michael Bennett showed why the Bucs traded for him as he scored on a 19 yard touchdown run in the second half. The Bucs must regroup as they prepare for the Arizona Cardinals and work to hold on to the lead in the NFC South Division.......
Panthers Game Stats....Panthers Game Highlights

The Buccaneers lose the Lions on Sunday 23-16, despite dominating the stat sheet. The Bucs had over 400 yards of offense, but two fumbles, a missed field goal and a blocked punt contributed to the Bucs' loss. QB Jeff Garcia went 37 for 45 passing for 316 yards and 2 touchdowns. He still has yet to throw an interception this year. This was a breakout game for RB Earnest Graham who had 184 yards of offense on 31 touches. The Bucs need to regroup quick as they prepare to host Jacksonville next week.......
Lions Game Stats....Lions Game Highlights

The Bucs got past the Titians 13 to 10 in a defensive struggle that keeps the Bucs undefeated at home this year. Jeff Garcia hooked up with Joey Galloway in the third quarter on a 69 yard touchdown strike that was the Bucs' only touchdown of the game. Late in the game with time running out, Matt Bryant sealed the game with a 43 yard field goal with only 11 seconds remaining. This win keeps the Bucs at the top of the NFC South as they prepare to travel to Detroit next week to play the Lions......
Titians Game Stats....Titians Game Highlights

For the second week in a row, the Bucs lose their starting running back. Michael Pittman left the game with an ankle injury. Pittman will miss three to four weeks after suffering a small crack in his fibula in Sunday's loss to Indianapolis, as the Bucs fell to the Colts 33 to 14. The Bucs' defense came up short against Payton Manning and the high powered Colts offense. QB Jeff Garcia looked good again, but the Bucs' receivers kept dropping passes, which made it hard for the offense to maintain any momentum. Earnest Graham will be promoted to starting running back and will get the bulk of the carries until Pittman returns. The Bucs' next game is at home against the Tennessee Titans as they hope to get back on track.....
Colts Game Stats....Colts Game Highlights

For the second week in a row, the Bucs come out of the starting blocks hot and put up 14 before the Panthers even knew what hit them. The big story of this game was Cadillac Williams and the injury received in the second quarter to his right knee. Anyone watching the play knew it was going to be a bad injury. Cadillac Williams will have knee surgery this week and will not be able to return to the Bucs this year. The Bucs' defense was close again to another shutout when the Panthers scored a touchdown late to foil their plan. The Bucs downed the Panthers 20 - 7 in a game totally dominated by the Bucs. The Bucs are on the road again this week as they visit an old friend in Indianapolis to take on the Colts.....
Panthers Game Stats....Panthers Game Highlights

The Bucs scored 3 points with time running out in the first half in a torrential down poor to take a 3 to 0 lead over the Rams at halftime. It was a sign of things to come as the Bucs' running game came alive in the second half, scoring 3 touchdowns to defeat the Rams 24 to 3 in dominating fashion. The Bucs' defense was also impressive, holding the Rams to 3 points and coming up with 3 key interceptions. This is the second straight game that the Bucs' defense looked like the defense of old. This was also a coming out party for Earnest Graham (Mr. August) who rushed for 75 yards on 8 carries and scoring 2 key 4th quarter touchdowns. The Bucs take the show on the road next weekend to Carolina to play the Panthers in an NFC division south showdown. Go Bucs! .....
Rams Game Stats....Rams Game Highlights

The Bucs offense exploded against the Saints pounding them 31 - 14. Jeff Garcia threw for 243 yards and 2 touchdowns with no interceptions in a flawless performance on Sunday. Joey Galloway had 4 catches on the day, all of them spectacular and two of them went for touchdowns. Cadillac Williams finally got out of the garage today scoring 2 rushing touchdowns of his own. The Bucs' defense was tough against the run and was led by second year linebacker Barrett Ruud, who collected 11 tackles on the day. The Bucs will enjoy this win tonight and then start getting ready for the Saint Louis Rams that are 0 and 2 and desperate for a win.....
Saints Game Stats....Saints Game Highlights

The Bucs started strong leading the Seahawks 6 to 0 after the first quarter only to have it all fall apart losing 20 to 6 in Seattle. The Bucs' offense looked good early and the defense played well early, but the Bucs were unable to overcome 2 fumbles and some untimely penalties that spelled disaster on the road. The Bucs have to put this loss behind them fast as they get ready for the defending NFC south champion New Orleans Saints. Raymond James Stadium should be a Rock-en when the Saints come to town. With a schedule as brutal as the first 5 games for the Bucs, we have to win the home games. Go Bucs! Those two words sum up the Bucs' season perfectly. The worst season since 1991.....
