The Buccaneers lose final home game to the Atlanta Falcons 30 to 28.
Bucs rally late, but come up short losing to the Atlanta Falcons 28 to 30. This was the final home game of the year and the fans leave Raymond James Stadium disappointed.

The Bucs got off to a slow start again and had to rely on a late surge to try and win the game. Brad Johnson was awful in the first half, throwing 4 interceptions. Johnson was better in the second half ending the game with 34 completed passes out of 48 attempts for 4 touchdowns. Keenan McCardell led the teams in receiving yards with 122 yards on 6 catches and 1 touchdown. Once again McCardell scored a touchdown in a game we lost. Charles Lee continues to impress, leading the team in catches with 10 for 48 yards and a touchdown. Thomas Jones had a decent performance, rushing for 73 yards on 17 carries. Though the Bucs offense seems to struggle at times, life after Keyshawn is going to be fine.

The Bucs defense played well, better in the second half. Shelton Quarels lead the team in tackles with 14. The Bucs didn't have any sacks this game, but did recover 1 fumble to keep their turnover streak alive. The Buccaneer fans may have seen Warren Sapp take the field in a Buccaneer uniform for the last time at Raymond James Stadium.

The Bucs are starting to prepare for next year and look for some new wrinkles and personnel in the game against Tennessee Titans this week. I expect the Bucs to play hard and give the Titans all they can handle. However, injuries and personnel changes may be too much for the Bucs to overcome. My prediction Tampa Bay 17, Tennessee 35.
