WR Keenan McCardell makes a spectacular catch for a TD late in the game.
The Buccaneers lost their second game in a row for the first time since Jon Gruden took over as head coach. Just like last week, the Bucs rallied late to take the lead only to give up a game winning drive losing to the Panthers 27 to 24.

Let's talk about the Bucs offense, why can't they seem to get any offense started until late in the game? Is it because the Bucs are playing too conservative and trying to run the ball early? Is it that the Bucs are making bad decisions and get flagged for drive killing penalties? Are the Bucs turning the ball over and not making key receptions when needed? The answers to all these questions is a resounding YES!

In my opinion Kenyatta Walker should be benched after his performance in last weekend's game. Kenyatta did his best to single handedly lose the game for the Bucs. First of all, he can't pass block to save his life and it's time we cut our losses and get someone who can. He was called for 4 penalties for a total of 41 yards. This is unacceptable and must be addressed. Kenyatta had 2 penalties in the first half for hands to the face. These were both of the 15 yard variety and killed both drives. After the second penalty, Gruden should have taken him out of the game even if it was for a play or two to try and get his attention. Kenyatta was allowed to continue playing and in the second half his poor performance continued. He was flagged for holding and an unsportsmanlike penalty late in the game that helped kill another drive. I hope the Bucs coaching staff wakes up and realizes that Kenyatta isn't getting the hang of this. He may have been a good player in college, but is a bust in the NFL. Get ride of him. It's time to move on.

On the bright side, it looks like the passing game is starting to come alive. WR Keyshawn Johnson had a good game catching 5 balls for 80 yards and made a touchdown late in the game. Not to be outdone Keenan McCardell made even a more spectacular catch to tie the game late and give the Bucs a chance to win. McCardell caught 9 balls for 118 yards and a touchdown. Brad Johnson played well completing 24 of 43 passes with 1 interception and 2 touchdowns. That's a 55.8% completion rate and a quarterback rating of 81.06.

The Bucs defense for the second game in a row let their opponents drive on them late to win the game. The defense may now be starting to show their age a little. Last year this would have never happened, at least not as much as it has this year. I can't remember when I had ever seen Ronde Barber and John Lynch miss so many open field tackles. And Warren Sapp wasn't a force in the game. The Bucs leading tackler was Tim Wansley who had 9 tackles and 2 interceptions. One of those interceptions he returned 23 yards for a touchdown. Not a bad performance considering the way Wansley was lit up earlier this year by Manning when we lost to Indianapolis. Talks about this being one of the best defenses ever have now come to an end.

The Bucs will try to win its second home game this year. Green Bay is coming off a short week after playing on Monday Night Football. This could work to the Bucs advantage. The Bucs have had the Packers number the past few years, but that means little to nothing the way things are going for the Bucs this year. This is a must win game if the Bucs are ever going to right the ship this year. My prediction Tampa Bay 28 and Green Bay 17.
