RB Thomas Jones had 7 carries for 57 yards rushing and the Bucs only   touchdown of the game.
Saturday was the first time we have seen the Bucs at home since the NFC playoff game against the San Francisco 49ers. The Bucs won a sloppy game 10-6 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. During the game the Bucs accumulated a multitude of penalties and had three turnovers, two interceptions by Brad Johnson and a fumble by Karl Williams. Brad Johnson had a rough start. The first interception was a result of a good pass rush by the Jaguars. The second interception was a forced pass into the end zone, something that Brad rarely does. After the second interception, Brad seemed to calm down and really threw the ball well and with good touch.

The first team defense looked very impressive. They were flying to the ball and constantly putting pressure on Jaguars QB Brunell. Lynch had a couple of crowd awing hits and Simeon Rice was playing like a man possessed. He was constantly in the backfield getting pressure on the quarter back or chasing down a running back. The overall speed on defense was very impressive. Warren Sapp didn't play on defense this game due to turf toe.

Running back Thomas Jones had another good showing. He had 7 carries for 57 yards rushing and the Bucs only touchdown of the game. He had 4 catches for 21 yards receiving. Jones also turned in a very impressive 44-yard kickoff return. Jones is the leading Bucs' running back this pre-season with 36 carries for 163 yards and 3 rushing TDs. He's been very impressive as a runner. He has good running instincts and speed and is very powerful. With all the problems Pittman has been having off the field, Jones is making a claim for the #1 running back position this season.

Shaun King went 11 for 16 for 70 yards. These statistics are very deceiving. Although he didn't turn the ball over and had a good completion percentage, he consistently overlooked the open receivers downfield to connect with the short dump off passes. He looked like the same Shaun King that had the opportunity to start last year and performed miserably.

It was good to see Martin Gramatica back in the lineup kicking field goals. He made good on a 24-yard field goal and looks healthy.

Its also been rumored that five time ProBowl receiver Andre Risen, age 36, will be trying out for Jon Gruden in the next couple of days.
