The Huskers celebrate after a 30 to 3 victory over the Buffs.
The t-shirts the Huskers were wearing under their pads says it all "Restore the Order." It all came together in this game as the Huskers dismantled the Buffs 30 to 3. For the first time in the Callahan era, Husker fans were given a glimpse of what's in store for the future of Nebraska football. The future looks bright!

QB Zac Taylor had his best game of the year as he picked apart the Buffs for 392 yards and 2 touchdowns. This was a very impressive performance considering the concussion he received in the previous game. Pound for pound Taylor is one of the toughest players on the team.

The Huskers posted more than a hundred yards running on the Big 12 number one rushing defense. RB Cory Ross led all players in receiving yards with 9 catches for 129 yards and a touchdown. WR Nate Swift was clutch as usual leading all wide receivers with 77 yards and a touchdown. Swift has become one of Taylor's most reliable receivers and a fan favorite.

The Blackshirts came up big holding the Buffs to just a 33 yard field goal on the game's first possession. LB Bo Ruud was the Huskers' leading tackler with 6 and 3 were for a loss totaling 14 yards. The Huskers recorded 4 more sacks bringing the year's tally to 46 sacks. The defense played inspired football. The Buffs were unable to do anything all game. It was great to see the Blackshirts dominate like that again.

This needs to be said: The Colorado University players and fans showed this weekend that they have NO CLASS. Let's look past all the horrible off the field allegations Head Coach Barnett and the football program have been under the last few years. He allowed his team to gather at the fifty yard line during warm-ups and shout obscenities at the Huskers. The punter punted footballs into the Huskers as they were running through their drills. During the game the Buffs were flagged 10 times for 105 penalty yards. A few of those penalties were personal fouls for cheap shots. Late in the game the Buffs' student body that attended the game was such poor sports that they started to throw things on the field. It got so bad the student section of the stadium had to be removed before the game would continue. I can only wonder what the Buffs' recruits attending the game must have thought. They truly have the worst fans in the Big 12. The whole program should be embarrassed.

This was a big win for the Huskers football program. Callahan and the team may have finally turned the corner. This was a nationally televised game and will surely help the Huskers' recruiting efforts. The Huskers may be heading to a better bowl after this win. The Holiday and Alamo Bowls may now give the Huskers some consideration. The next few days should be interesting.
